"Nigeria suffers as drop in oil prices empties coffers"
That was a headline about our great country Nigeria on the news page of Chicago Tribune.
Should this be true of our God's own country blessed with mineral, financial, mental and human resources?
Why is it that we rely solely on oil, neglecting other avenues of investment, forsaking moral and business integrity, neglecting the benefits of utilizing the resources at our disposal which other countries of the world that attracts some of us that hide behind rich and flamboyant lifestyles and those that feels like if they don't leave the shores of this country they can't make it, are doing.
They squeeze every of their assets thin just to get validation into another mans' country. While some get there to suffer and at the end get hand picked for deportation others become wanderers or end up with jobs they can't talk about when they return.
This countries ranks high and find their way into the heart of youths from "under-developed" country as they have rated us due to poor management of human and financial resources, mismanagement and misappropriation of funds and under-management (if it exists) of human capacity building.
Read about opportunities that may be wasted like the groundnut pyramids of Kano if not given timely attention here on Daily trust.
Do we actually want it devalued or scrapped so that we can be spending dollars by the time we are mentally colonized?
"He is not performing". Is he God?
"Is this change we clamoured"? We should all know that change is inevitable and it does not come easy, neither is it cheap.
Why don't we support our leaders to put in their mortal best and prayerfully allow the Immortal and Invisible to perfect our lives and country.
Let us all remember, this is our Jerusalem. If you die in India and they didn't bring you home you will be cremated(burned to ashes), in the US it will take a lot of paper work and money that can change lives to bring your corpse back to motherland. Anywhere you die away from home you, sorry your corpse will be sent back home to eat the dust you trampled.
Making Nigeria better and great should be a collective effort not a one man show or responsibility. Enough of antagonism and blame games.
