The world's deadliest animal isn't a shark or even a human

It is very alarming at the rate which man has become the harbinger of death unto one another.
Presently, the mosquitoes have beaten us to clinch the record, we need to get it back then later look at how we can suppress mans inhumanity and brutality to one another. Mosquito seems to have evolved beyond the ordinary insects that can be neglected because it has always been a carrier of one disease or the other and the worst part of it is that it is adding more to its arsenal of destructive diseases geometrically. Yes, mosquitoes — the pesky bugs that suck blood and transmit viruses from person to person — are responsible for the most animal-related deaths.
"When it comes to killing humans, no other animal even comes close," Gates noted on the blog.
Malaria by itself is responsible for more than half of mosquito-related deaths, predominantly in sub-Saharan Africa, though that incidence fell by 37% between 2000 and 2015, according to the World Health Organization. Dengue fever, another mosquito-borne disease, has become a leading-cause of hospitalization and death among children in some Asian and Latin-American countries.
And it's not just deaths that mosquitoes are responsible for. The recent spread of the Zika virus in the Americas by the mosquito has alerted the world to the impact the pest has. Once infected with Zika, only about 20% of people ever show symptoms, which most commonly include fever, rash, joint pain, and red eyes.
One reason why Zika is troubling is because it has been linked with birth defects in babies whose mothers have had Zika symptoms and a neurological condition called Guillain-Barré Syndrome.
While Aedes aegypti has been singled out as the carrier of Zika and dengue, other mosquitoes like those in the Anopheles group carry malaria.

Apart from vaccines, mosquito eradication is one of the best ways to curb the spread of deadly infectious diseases. Then, perhaps, there could be a new deadliest animal.

Open Source Software

If you’ve spent any lengthy amount of time on the Internet, you’ve probably heard of open source software but might not have fully understood what it is and why it even exists.   This article will describe this recent phenomenon and describe some of its benefits for the software using community. In a nutshell, open source software is software made by everyone – for everyone. The hope behind its development is that through its open access, it will evolve into something that represents the true desires of computer users. Through a wide network of user involvement, the software in question is enhanced and debugged without costs or administrative policies. Traditionally, software is developed behind closed doors. A team of professional coders build it but the community at large isn’t part of its conception. It’s costly to produce and as you can probably guess, that cost is passed on to the end user: the consumer. Open source software on the other hand is free. Free ...

Laptop Batteries

If your laptop battery can not backup as it used to and you can only get thirty minutes or at most forty five of work done before you need to start  searching for an AC outlet? Sounds like it's time for a replacement battery. It is true that laptop batteries are  expensive but without a good backup your pc hard drive is at a risk and you could eventually lost your data in the occurrence of a possible crash. Price vary from one model to another but new ones sell for a few thousands of naira if you know what I mean.  There are some as high as ten to fifteen thousand naira. When you consider that brand-new laptops now sell from as low as forty five  thousand naira, it can be a hard pill to swallow. If your laptop is your primary PC, and you are sure of constant power from your AC outlet (can't vouch for that anyway) you may be wasting battery cycles by leaving it plugged in all the time. Try removing the battery until you actually need to go somewhere with your l...
