China products trusted by Chinese

It is a good development when a country can depend on her citizens or a company within its borders to produce quality and suitable enough gadgets branded as made in that region and it enjoys very good patronage from the citizenry.

A country with a good range of productive segment in her territory will witness rapid growth. Rapid economy development both locally and internationally will be part of their returns if properly scaled.
A country who asks her citizens to stand up tall and backs them up will certainly succeed. They will make a good name.
It might not be an easy task but in the long run both country and citizens will benefit and have good returns on investment (ROI) both in cash and kind.
China has been very keen on this. We can see their results though we  may not know what they have gone through to achieve the level of success they presently have. They have been trying all efforts on the self sufficient mindset and it is paying them well with cash, international business opportunities and bi-lateral ties. It makes them stand out in the business world. Every country wants to associate with them because they know what they carry.
China's contribution to innovations in technology can not be over emphasized.

They know their worth. They worked hard enough to make  their desires become a reality.
Even if it is because of cheap labour, I believe they have visionary leaders who pours their resources mostly in the right channel (not for personal gratification) with proper coordination which makes all and "developed" countries who are now allies, run to them for cheaper mass production of gadgets.
My country rely on them to give us good light rail project where someone once said we cannot maintain new trains.
I believed they looked inward at what they can do or achieve with whatever is available to them.
Now they are one of the major stories on tabloids.
A picture of US President Trump (an established Business mogul cum president) smiling with Jack Ma of Alibaba groups somewhere online is an evidence to "Birds of a feather".
Thank God for China, I don't think mobile phones would have circulated like wild fire if not for their input into the technology market. How many of us would have been able to afford a mobile phone if China had not bridged the divide with various range of made in China phones.
They saw a problem, a very huge divide and provided a way either around it, beneath it, above it or through it. That is why we have grade A China phones, China phone, Chinko Phones and some others with speakers that can help you out during a small get together party. All at affordable prices.
You can not enter the mobile, electronics or technology market without setting your eyes on products made in China.
Though we may complain about quality but what I have found out is that whatever grade or quality you want you will get it in China.
So you can put your mouth where your money is and vice versa...
The encouraging part of this is the local patronage. Even in China movies they use China phones. Everything about them is trust and loyalty. They don't see language as a barrier but use their own to build a stronger economy. A contrast to mine.

Nigerians should look inward. Unlearn to learn new, rewarding and realistic ways of growing the economy. Let us reset our brains from the default;
"go to school,
get a good grade,
apply for a high paying (government) job for better retirement benefits,
if your pay is not enough,
embezzle some funds
and if it doesn't come easy or if it doesn't work,
run out of the country".

I don't think the Chinese took it that way.
Moreover, we have it all here, the good, the bad and the ugly,

*Cheap labour vs expensive but unproductive labour,
exploited and rudely underpaid labour,
mismanaged and slaved labour because they don't have certificate or cannot speak correct English as if it is their native language .
(Ask the Chinese, they value their language a lot).

*Discovered Mineral resources that has never been tapped not to talk of utilizing them due to selfish demands by government agencies from investors.

*Washed up agricultural sector due to mismanagement and misappropriation of funds.

*Technology redundancy because we don't really want to learn how it works to better the lives of citizens.

*Imbecile power sector which gulps money like an unsatisfied leech yet we pay to sleep in darkness. We pay to watch the birthing of small businesses and to see them die in their infancy because they have no power for their incubation.

*We pay to start an establishment without any financial support and different (numerous) arms of government (with uniforms of different colours) will tax you. They don't care how long you've started or if you are making profit (multiple taxation).

*Conflicts because we have refused to understand one another in seeking the common good of the nation since every one is after "What is in it for me" but at the end it becomes, "Why can't I have It All to Myself and My family". Wasteful, gullible spenders...

*Veterans with knowledge on how to tackle insurgency are retired without merits and made to sit at home instead of consulting them to learn how they did it in their days

*Investors are greedy, yes but they are being charged overwhelming interests and other loyalties. Epileptic power diverts there finances to purchase of private power station. Fuel is not cheap. How would they survive?

What is the way forward?

I think one of the best thing that can help us is for our leaders to put aside the shame, go to China to learn good governance. In case they are too old, let them send students to China to go and learn how the Chinese are doing it.
We need to improve and develop. Let the sleeping giant arise.

Open Source Software

If you’ve spent any lengthy amount of time on the Internet, you’ve probably heard of open source software but might not have fully understood what it is and why it even exists.   This article will describe this recent phenomenon and describe some of its benefits for the software using community. In a nutshell, open source software is software made by everyone – for everyone. The hope behind its development is that through its open access, it will evolve into something that represents the true desires of computer users. Through a wide network of user involvement, the software in question is enhanced and debugged without costs or administrative policies. Traditionally, software is developed behind closed doors. A team of professional coders build it but the community at large isn’t part of its conception. It’s costly to produce and as you can probably guess, that cost is passed on to the end user: the consumer. Open source software on the other hand is free. Free ...

Disruptions in mobile phones manufacturing

“We need to be able to make a chipset to stand out as someone who was really innovative,” ,  John Chan (don't know if he is a brother to Jackie Chan). Business as well as life itself is a risk and only those who plunged into the risky terrains mostly at times come out as a leader in innovation with an edge over others. Mobile phones market has mostly been dominated by big brands like Apple, Samsung, Microsoft (Nokia), Huawei and the likes. At times, the geographical location determines which brand leads where but we all know for now who leads who. The issue has been disruption in giving the end user what they actually think they want. Putting the power in their palms and helping them toy with it in terms of mobile phones, accessories and mobile apps for different applications to make life easier. All these leads to Internet of Things and innovative smart homes. I think one day, we will be able to change the colour of our bed sheet with a click of the phone and adjust the th...
Computer Security In Today’s Society, Protecting Your Computer Is A Requirement Advancement in computer technology is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it affords us quick and easy access to numerous conveniences such as bank statements, favorite shopping centers, school and health records, and more. On the other hand, it can also grant the same access to those who aren’t supposed to get it. Although it’s a rare occurrence, hacking has become the biggest criminal nuisance in computer history. Make no bones about it. There’s nothing innocent or cute about a hacker. Today’s hackers aren’t the pimply-faced teen rebels that you might be thinking of. Instead, these hackers are grown individuals who are more than likely earning a living by stealing the identities of innocent, law abiding individuals and then selling those identities to others who want to slip by the system. And the only protection against these seedy people is prevention. Computer security couldn’t be m...
